Fort Concho National Historic Landmark

Step into the past at a frontier army post from 1867 – 1889, Fort Concho is a historic preservation project and museum. The Fort encompasses most of the former army post and includes twenty-three original and restored structures. Walk through the past at the authentically refurbished exhibit buildings. View America’s vibrant and unique past one of the best preserved forts of the Indian Wars Era (1866 – 1891) and home to the famous Buffalo Soldiers!

Chicken Farm Art Center

Originally a real working chicken farm, the center has gradually transformed into a beautiful oasis of art, culture, creativity, and community. There are 15 artist studios offering a variety of media including painting, pottery, metal, stone sculpture, blacksmithing, wood, glass, and fiber art. Take a guided tour through the studio to see the process and works in progress.

San Angelo Performing Arts Center

Discover award-winning performances from around the world. Take a guided tour of the Historic Murphey Performance Hall at City Auditorium completed in 1928.

The Cactus Hotel

Spend time in the fourth hotel opened by Conrad Hilton in 1929. The tallest building in San Angelo, stretching 14 stories into the West Texas sky, can be seen for 15 miles. San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts

Experience visual art as you stroll through one of the most dramatic buildings of any art museum in America. The museum consists of three galleries, two with 40-foot soaring ceilings and a rooftop sculpture terrace with a beautiful city view. View a contemporary collection of ceramic arts and take a peek behind the scenes through the uniquely designed collections.

International Water Lily Collection

Designated a premiere collection of water lilies by the International Water Lily and Water Gardening Society. Discover seven ponds boasting more than 150 varieties of lilies. They can be seen April through October, the peak month of blooms is September.

Miss Hattie's Bordello Museum

It all began in 1898 when Mrs. Hatton, a recent divorcée and great businesswoman, set up a top of the line “gentleman’s club” in a two-story building on East Concho Avenue. Hummer House - Christoval

Enjoy this West Texas oasis unique for its natural beauty, distinguished because of thousands of tiny hummingbird inhabitants. The Hummer House is the summer home to Texas largest concentration of breeding and nesting black-chinned hummingbirds, located in neighboring Christoval.

San Angelo State Park

Angelo Civic Theatre

Mt. Carmel Hermitage - Christoval

The Hermits of Mount Carmel are a community of men called to a life of silence, solitude, prayer, and penance for the good of the Church. Learn about life in the hermitage.
