Annual American Heart Association Heart Walk

Cardiovascular disease is the #1 Killer of Americans, but together we can take steps to fight it, prevent it... end it. Join us on Saturday, October 13th for the Annual Heart Walk, San Angelo's family-friendly 5K that promotes healthy lifestyles and raises funds towards cardiovascular research and educational programs for the American Heart Association.

Each year, several hundred volunteers and participants gather to raise awareness and funds that fight heart disease and stroke, America’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers respectively. The non-competitive 5K walk is open to all age groups. All activities are free and open to the public; participants who choose to fund raise are eligible for prizes. Money raised from the Heart Walk funds cardiovascular research and education. The American Heart Association currently funds more than $31 million in research in Texas.
